EVO is a state of the art monitor mount which has won a number of international design awards. EVO is a flexible arm for your computer monitor. It lets you freely position your screen anywhere you want it. You simply move the screen where you need it and it stays in place.

Using EVO provides a number of benefits. First, it saves desk space. As you raise your monitor off the work surface you gain back that space. Second, EVO lets you freely position your flat panel which helps you work ergonomically. Instead of having to contort your body to see your monitor you can put the screen in the most comfortable position for you. Raise and lower it, move it from side to side, or adjust the angle. Third, by using EVO you create a dynamic workspace. You don’t have to sit in the same position all day. If you want to share your screen with others, it’s no problem. If you want to get your monitor out of the way, just push it back.

EVO is loaded with a number of industry-leading features. Let’s start with the desk mount. The desk mount comes with an integrated handle for a very fast, easy, tool-free setup. All you do is slide the mount on the edge of your desk and tighten the knob to secure the arm. You can also attach the mount to a grommet hole or even bolt it through the desk. Note that the back of the mount has a plastic plate. This is for the benefit of open-plan offices where your desk doesn’t butt up against a wall. You have a nice finished look which helps keep your office looking organized and clean.

The arm includes a gas spring which counter-balances your monitor. The arm attaches to the mount simply by plugging it right in. There is a VESA mounting plate which attaches to the back of your monitor. The adapter works with VESA standard 75 & 100mm hole patterns. The monitor then attaches to the arm with its quick install feature. Competing products often charge a premium for quick-install (also called quick-release) features, but with EVO it’s included with the product standard. This feature is particularly useful not only for saving you time in setting up your arm, but if in the future you decide you want to change monitors it’s very easy, just press one button and release, attach the plate to your new screen, and plug it right back in.

The first thing most people notice about EVO is what a gorgeous product it is. It has elegant lines to compliment your office without being intrusive. The design of the EVO also allows it to fold back on itself making it very compact when you move it out of the way when you’re not using it. There are lots of little features built into it as well. For example, the height of the mount cup is designed so that when you depress the arm all the way down it stops just above your desk so that you don’t whack your desk surface if you suddenly lower your arm. It also has simple yet effective cable management to keep your cables out of the way and up off your desk.

When it comes to having a computer in a small space, there are ways that a person can avoid having too many problems with overcrowding. Keyboard trays were designed with that idea in mind, so that people who needed their desk space would have somewhere to keep their keyboard so it would be out of the way when they weren’t using it.

In the spirit of that, there are now monitor arms, as well. These are designed to mount either to the back part of the desk surface or to the wall behind the desk. They help avoid the cluttered desk area that a monitor and its cords and wires can provide, and they also help to ensure that a person can adjust the monitor just the way that he or she really wants it.

The main idea, though, is that these monitor arms help to free up desk surface space so that it can be used for something else. A lot of people have paperwork and other things that they need while they are working on their computer, and if the desk surface is small and mostly taken up by a monitor, that paperwork has nowhere to go. Attaching the monitor to a swing arm and getting it up and off of the desk – and out of the way – can make a huge difference to someone working in a small space.

If you’re looking to mount your flat panel monitor on the wall, you’re in luck. There are plenty of different arms for you to use to do that. Getting one that is the most comfortable to you is key, though. Ergonomics are important, and you don’t want to end up with something that you can’t get adjusted properly. Fortunately they come in just about all shapes and sizes, and many of them are adjustable.

Common options include a flat panel monitor arm that attaches the monitor to the wall, much like one would see with large flat screen television sets, a monitor arm that allows the monitor to swing from side to side, and a LCD monitor arm that allows the monitor to move up and down.

These seem to be the arms that are in the biggest demand, so when it comes to picking one for you, know that you have plenty of options. You should get what you like and what you will use the most, and not worry about what a colleague is using or anything like that. You don’t want to be stuck using something that you really don’t like just because you feel like everyone else has one. Get the right one for your needs.
